Scope of delivery:
- 1x KMB JET28 (Rev. 3) thrust unit including Riva Calzoni-like steering and thrust reversal system
- 1x KMB JET2801 screws set
RC jetboat drive for electric motors - up to 20000 RPM - up to approx.800 W - operational rpm range from 8000 to 20000 RPM - for custom-made RC model boats like Yachts, race and sport boats as well as civil, research and military model vessels with approx. 50 to 150 cm length and 1,5 to 4 Kg weight ready to run per installed KMB JET28 unit.
Material kit: Includes unmounted / unassembled parts. For installing, works like grinding, glueing and drilling are required. Working materials not included
Features of the KMB JET28
- Preassembled and ready to install JET28 (Rev. 3) suction tunnel, including impeller and motor shaft coupling (for motor shafts Ø 5 mm)
- Solid, one-piece suction tunnel casing made from fibreglass reinforced ABS-injection
- Ø 4 mm impeller shaft, impeller side notched, motor side leveled, impeller overmolded
- Motor side ball bearing and axial nylon bearing washer
- Impeller side sinter bronce bearing, axial steel and nylon bearing washer
- Grease-filled, refillable Steven tube
- Integrated motor mount incl. material (M4 threaded bolts and hexagon nuts) for mounting a motor or an adaptor flange)
- Motor connection dimensions for motors or adaptors with 29 mm hole spacing and M4-threads (e.g. brushed 700-motor, MH11 or MH12)
- KMB high load shaft coupling Ø 4 mm (drive shaft) / Ø 5 mm (motor shaft), pre-mounted
- Direct mounting of motors with shaft lengths between 17 and 21 mm from connection surface possible
- For using adaptor flanges (e.g. MH11 / MH12), the length of the adaptor flange needs to be added to the required motor shaft lengths mentioned above
- By adding additional axial nylon bearing washers between the coupling and the ball bearing (underpinned Offsetting of the coupling), the required minimum shaft length can be reduced to 14 mm (+ adaptor flange length). - Riva Calzoni-like steering and thrust reversal system, made from fibreglass reinforced ABS-injection
- Steering nozzle splash guard made from ABS
- The servo should have around 4,5 to 6,5 kgcm actuating power per connected JET28 steering system.
